Sales of all North County real estate types were down 18% in April over March but up 2% over April of last year. The first 4 months of this year are up 4 % in sales for the same time frame last year. Properties in escrow are up 1% from last month and down 3% from April of 2012. Active listings on the market are up 5% from March and down 11% from the same time last year.

MARCH -1ST QUARTER 2013 NORTH COUNTY REAL ESTATE STATISTICS
Sales of all North County real estate types were up a whole 37% in March over February and up 18% over March of last year. The first quarter is also up 5% over the first quarter of 2012. Properties in escrow were down 12% from February and down 22% from March of 2012. Active listings on the market were down 2% from February and also down 16% from the same time last year.

Sales of all North County real estate types were up 5% in February over January and down 9% over February of last year. The first 2 months of this year are down 5% in sales for the same time frame last year. Properties in escrow are up 13% from last month and down 3% from February of 2012. Active listings on the market are up 2% from January and also up 12% from the same time last year.

JANUARY NORTH COUNTY REAL ESTATE STATISTICS

Sales of all North County real estate types were down 38% in January over December and down 2% over January of last year. It is common for escrows closings to be down in January from December as there is normally a drop in properties going into escrow through the months of November and December. Also, this year many sellers were concerned about capital gains rates going up in 2013 so there was a larger push to close escrows earlier this year then before. Properties in escrow are up 13% from last month and also down 10% from January of 2012. Active listings on the market are up 9% from December and also up 2% from the same time last year.
